Long Term 6 Month Horse Boarding Contract
Things You Should Expect:
Horse(s) fed and watered twice a day
Runs cleaned regularly. Box stall cleaned out once a day
Horses checked throughout the day
Your horses safety and health are paramount
Facility upgrades
Friendly & relaxed environment
Things You Should Not Expect:
A run down facility
To worry about your horse’s safety
Any non-emergency calls to your home or place of business
Board Payments
All board payments will be made a month in advance and are to be paid monthly starting the sign date of this contract.
Any payments over 3 days past due will result in a $5.00 late fee per day
By Colorado Revised Statutes, if any boarding payments go two months in arrears, ownership of any affected horse(s)
will be transferred. Any and all costs will be paid by the owner(s)
Damage To Property
No security deposit is required. Owner(s) will be invoiced for damaged item replacement if horse(s) proves to be
destructive
Leaving water hydrants on causes damage to the horse runs, barn floors, hydrants and is costly. Anytime after the 2rd
incident of a hydrant left running, a $25.00 charge will result to offset water costs
Feed & Grain
Owner(s) is responsible for providing feed for all horse(s)
We provide notice well in advance of low feed levels, however if a circumstance arises where we must provide feed to
your horse(s), a $5.00 charge per horse per feeding will be required to offset our feed costs
Common Areas
Due to the setup of our facility, there are common areas, so please be courteous to the other boarders
Each boarder has free use of the arena, round pen & wash rack. It is the owner(s) responsibility when handling their
horse to clean up horse droppings in the barn, round pen and common walk areas for the safety and cleanliness of the
property. Muck buckets, manure forks and broom are provided for public use
Dogs on leashes only are welcomed on the property for the safety of the visiting dogs and horses
Any questions regarding the setup, maintenance or operation of the facilities should be addressed only with the owner,
not relayed through other boarders
I UNDERSTAND THE RISKS INVOLVED IN EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO COLORADO REVISED
STATUTES 13-21-119 (SEE ATTACHED)
I understand that there are no assumed insurance policies on my horse(s) and/or any item related to equestrian activities
This facility or any representative thereof will not be held responsible for any health problem(s) not directly related to
the facilities themselves. Any pre-existing health problems will be declared prior to contract signing
All contracts are valid from the date of signing for a six month period, at which point the contract can be re-negotiated or
terminated. If you have prior knowledge that the contract will be terminated, written notice must be made within 15
days prior to the end of the contract. Failure to provide 15 day prior written notice will result in a $50.00 charge
If at anytime during the six months the contract need be cancelled, fifty percent of the remaining contractual obligation
will be paid in full prior to the removal of horse(s)
